Find a Test Site

New York State-Run Testing Sites are open to any asymptomatic individuals and people who may have been exposed to COVID-19. Testing is free. Appointments required.

Milford American Legion Post (86 West Main Street, Milford). Hours of Operation: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8AM-5PM; Saturday 8AM-Noon. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

Testing for Local College Students

Hartwick College: Any student who experiences symptoms of COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status, must report these symptoms and obtain a COVID-19 rapid test at the Perrella Wellness Center.
SUNY Oneonta: All students with symptoms or exposure to COVID-19 should isolate and call the SUNY Health Center at 607.436.3573 for consideration of diagnostic testing.

Home Test Kits

Order Free At-Home Test Kits: Every home in the U.S. can order 4 free at-⁠home COVID-⁠19 tests. The tests are completely free. Households may order test even if they previously ordered/received tests during the January program launch.

Home test kits are available for purchase at local pharmacies including CVS, Rite Aide, Walgreens, and Walmart. Home test kits may also be available to children enrolled in local public schools. Be advised, inventory is limited at pharmacies and access to test kits through schools may vary. Check with your insurance carrier to see if they cover costs up-front or offer reimbursement for tests.

You may also order COVID-19 diagnostic collection kits online. After completing an online screening, if testing is necessary, you will be able to place an order for a home test kit. The kit enables you to collect a nasal swab or saliva sample at home and send it to a certified lab for processing. You will receive secure digital results within days. Vaccine Appointments

COVID-19 vaccines - including booster doses and pediatric doses for 5-11 year-olds - are free and widely available statewide through pediatricians, doctors, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and local health departments.

Find a Vaccine Site: Search for vaccine and booster sites by zip code and vaccine type (e.g. Moderna, Pfizer and J&J) at vaccines.gov. You can also text your zip code to 438829 or call 1.800.232.0233.
State-run Vaccination Sites: The closest vaccination sites are in Johnson City and Albany. Click here to schedule an appointment.

Homebound Vaccines: Otsego County DOH will arrange a home visit for Otsego County residents who cannot leave home to get to a vaccine site. Email covidvaccine@otsegocounty.com with the name, physical address, and phone number of the homebound person or call Office for the Aging at 607.547.4232. Otsego County DOH Vaccine Clinic Notification: The Otsego County Department of Health recommends residents download the "Otsego County Department of Health" mobile app to be notified as soon as local COVID-19 vaccination clinics are scheduled. To download the app, search the App Store for "Otsego County Department of Health". The app is FREE TO DOWNLOAD for both Apple and Android products.

Transportation Assistance

People who have a vaccination appointment but have no way to get to the vaccination site should call ahead to arrange for transportation:

Getthere Mobility Management: Anyone living in Otsego, Delaware, Chenango, Tioga or Broome county. No referral needed. Call 855.373.4040, Monday-Friday between 7:00AM-7:00PM.
Otsego County Office for the Aging & NY Connects: Otsego residents of all ages can call all 607.547.4232 or 607.547.4390.
