The Children's Center will remain closed until further notice.

The Children’s Center is a free service for parents and caregivers who need to visit the Otsego County Court campus and can benefit from childcare during that time.

This drop-in daycare program is for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age whose caregivers have business with Family Court, Support Court, Surrogate Court, Family Treatment Court, Petition Intake, Probation Appointments, Supreme Court, or other appointments at the Otsego County Court campus.

The goal of the program is to protect children from witnessing the complicated issues discussed in the court room and allow parents to focus on addressing their needs. For the comfort and well-being of all children, visitors are expected to follow The Children's Center Guidelines.

The Children’s Center offers a safe, supportive, literacy-rich environment, staffed by trained childcare professionals who provide:

  • Age-appropriate activities: View our current activities
  • Nutritious snacks
  • Information and referrals to community services
  • Take-home activities for caregiver and child
  • The gift of an age-appropriate book for every child
